"So. Central Rain (I'm Sorry)" is the first single from the band's 1984 sophmore release, Reckoning. It features the trademark clear-sounding jangle pop of the aforementioned album. An unfinished and unnamed version of the song appeared on the band's first national television appearance on Late Night with David Letterman alongside Radio Free Europe.
The song met great critical acclaim, and Thom Yorke, the lead singer of Radiohead, considers it the band's finest track. The single charted at 85 on the Billboard Hot 100.
